BIOBUG® HC

Download full brochure (English) (French) (Castillian) (Spanish)

Description

BIOBUG® HC contains a specially formulated range of adapted high performance microorganisms.  BIOBUG® HC was developed for use in the biological wastewater treatment of refinery and petrochemical wastes.  The BIOBUG® HC product also contains a complete micronutrient blend for microbial growth in all conditions.  This is particularly important for industrial waste waters.

The bacteria contained in BIOBUG® HC, are capable of generating a complex of cellulases, hemicellulases, amylases and lipases, that provide the capacity to degrade extra cellular polymers (which cause foaming) and suppress the growth of the filamentous organisms by affecting the structure of the filaments.

  • Enhance organic removal efficiency of biological systems, providing lower effluent BOD, COD, and TSS.
  • Enhance solids settling where it has been disturbed by loading fluctuations.
  • Accelerate the start-up of new systems and aids recovery after upsets.
  • Improve cold weather operation.
  • Mitigate effects of chemical related loadings and toxic shocks.
  • Reduce sludge production.
  • Lower operating costs by reducing chemical consumption.
  • Competes against filaments.

Case History 1003

This refinery operates a multistage lagoon system for treating all waste waters.  The system was facing major costs for expansion to meet new ammonia standards.  The use of BIO-SYSTEMS products increased treatment capacity without the added capacity improvements and effluent ammonia levels were within permit level on a consistent basis.

Case History 977

A 3mgd aging activated sludge system was used to treat wastewater from a midwest refinery.  In order to maintain treatment efficiencies with overloaded conditions, a regular application of 3 lbs. per day of BIO-SYSTEMS was used.  This product addition demonstrated reduced sludge production and enabled the plant to stay in compliance with effluent standards.

This product uses BIO-SYSTEMS unique 'water soluble pouch' system to make dosing hassle free. No mess, no hassle, no bother...

Typical packaging is individual water soluble pouches packaged into a protective and resealable plastic bag. There are 25 plastic bags per container. You can specify your container as a plastic pail with resealable lid, or a cardboard box for easy disposal.
